Emergent Life Lab

Isometric Watch

Connecting…

Live · the real, currently-running universe

A richer, immersive way to watch the same live universe as the free classic Watch page - islands raised out of a calm ocean, real topography, real forests, real caves, and an optional Ambient mode for leaving the universe running. Isometric Watch is an Emergent Life Lab membership benefit.

What stays free

Classic Watch is not going anywhere: the full live world, full zoom, the complete Brain Inspector for any organism you select, and the public Explore and Research pages remain exactly as capable as they are today, no account required.

What Isometric Watch adds

An immersive miniature world

Islands raised above a real, semi-infinite ocean, real topography, real forests drawn as trees, and real caves - the same live state as Classic Watch, presented as a diorama instead of a flat map.

Ambient mode

Hand the camera a slow, optional drift between real places in this world and quiet the interface - built for leaving the universe alive on a screen while you do something else.

A quiet optional ambience

A very quiet, entirely optional, procedurally generated environmental bed - air, surf, foliage, the shelter of a cave - that follows where the camera is, in a choice of three soundscapes. Off until you turn it on, and deliberately minimal: the world itself is the experience.

The same real interaction

Select any organism, follow it, and open its full Brain Inspector - the exact same real controller state Classic Watch shows, in the isometric view.
